John's Mobile G.S.E. has been keeping ground support equipment running at airports for over 30 years. No corporate structure, no fluff — just solid work, high standards, and getting the job done right.

We're building a small, trusted team. Not a large crew — a select group of dependable people who take the work seriously and have the opportunity to grow with us over time.

You'll work hands-on, learn as you go, and be part of something that has a real track record in a specialized industry.

Who We're
Looking For

This is not a 40-hour-a-week position to start — and we want to be upfront about that. GSE is a specialized field. You have to learn it. But the schedule is flexible, the work is real, and for the right person the ceiling is high. We're looking for people who are in it for what it can become, not just what it is on day one.

Working Mechanics
Diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment experience is a strong foundation. Flexible scheduling means this can work alongside what you're already doing.

Trade & Tech School Students
Building your mechanical skills? This is real, hands-on airport work in a specialized field. The kind of experience that sets you apart when you're done with school.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) on ground support equipment
  • Fueling operations — safely and efficiently
  • Diagnosing and repairing equipment issues
  • Emergency maintenance when equipment can't wait
  • Keeping everything operational and up to standard

What You Need

  • Mechanical aptitude — GSE experience a plus, not required
  • Dependability — this is the most important thing
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • Willingness to learn and follow direction
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced environment

What You Get

  • Flexible part-time schedule to start
  • Pay based on experience
  • Hands-on training in a high-demand specialty
  • Real airport environment — not a shop
  • Small team — you're not a number
  • Opportunity for more hours, additional locations, and greater responsibility as you prove yourself

A Note on the Opportunity

GSE is a specialty. It takes time to learn it right, and we wouldn't have it any other way. This position starts part-time and flexible — that's intentional. It lets you learn the work without being thrown in the deep end, and it lets us find out if we're a good fit for each other. For the right person who shows up, does the work, and wants to grow — this is a foot in the door of a specialized, in-demand field with real room to expand.
